How to ensure proper ventilation for my notebook Acer Aspire

I own an Acer Aspire 5580 and I want to know how to ensure proper ventilation for my notebook w/o spending a single penny.

Make sure you only use it on a snooth hard surface, do not use it on a bed or carpet. Periodically make sure dust is cleaned from the vents.
