Why is the keyboard not working on my ACER Notebook?

My ACER notebook is 19 months old. I replaced the hard drive one month ago. Now, nothing on the keyboard works. The computer boots up, however I can't use the mouse or any keys. I can't even go into startup (F1) when booting up to tell it to read A Drive to reload my software.

Is there any easy solution other than a piece of hardware good and screwed up?
If someone knows the solution, is it feasible to spend the money to repair?

Try plugging in a USB keyboard.
Try then. I think its a software issue.
Maybe the drivers missing.

you might wanna try connecting an actual keyboard into your laptop to check if the pc is good as a whole or is it just the keyboard that's causing the problem. If the connected keyboard worked, remove it again then try to clean your laptops' keyboard. Use a brush because most of the time, those dust and little things might have piled up in your keyboard. Just try to clean it thoroughly, then let's hope it will work afterwards.

I honestly don't know how much would be the repair cost, if worse comes to worst.
