Why use single-core Snapdragon?

Post subject: Why use single-core Snapdragon?

I thought this time around all the manufacturers will use multi (dual, in this case) core ARM Cortex-A9 based instead of just a single core one like this version of SnapDragon. I know Qualcomm has the dual core version, why didn't they use it this time around then?
