How to replace a hard drive on Lenovo notebook G530?

I have a lenovo notebook G530. does anybody know how to remove the old one to replace it with a new one?

Unscrew the panel cover underneath the laptop that hides the hard drive (it doesn't hurt to open the other panels if you're unsure which stores the HDD). There should be at least one screw that holds the hard drive, unscrew that. Gently slide the hard drive away from the socket so that it's detached from the socket. Remember the orientation of the hard drive.

You'll observe now that the hard drive is actually housed in a hard drive case. Unscrew the hard drive proper from its case. Then retrace the steps to install the new hard drive.

*Be careful not to apply pressure on the flat surfaces of the hard drives. Its best to hold them by the sides and handle them gently.

The above answer is correct. Something else to look for is an adapter on the pins of the hard drive. Some laptops use these, some don't. This only applies to IDE drives, not to SATA drives.

If you see a lot of little pins on the end of the drive, like wires sticking out of it, then there is no adapter. If you see a plastic bar with contacts along each side, you have an adapter. Pull it straight out and save it, because the replacement drive will not have one.
