Freescales $200 tablet Smartbook

Early in the week, Freescale announced a $200 smartbook it hopes present amount to the activity via an OEM partner maybe this summer.

The tablet has a 7-inch (1024 x 600) presentation and is supercharged by the i.MX515 processor (including the ARM Cortex A8 crisp), 512MB RAM and 4-64 GB of ssd hdd.




Interestingly, there is an optional ($50) arrival keyboard that the tablet slides starboard into movement it into a quasi-netbook.

Nevertheless, the dock keeps the showing at one bias and can't be collapsable over, so it's only real use faculty be on a desk.

Wonder which big OEMs are going to jump on Freescales bandwagon. Qualcomm seems to have quite a good head-start, Nvidia too.
