Netbooks with DDR3

Hey All,
It seems that Intel’s new Pine Trail processors will be getting an update in the third quarter of 2010. It will not be a speed or power chaange but we can expect the overall performance of the device to increase. The new chips will support DDR3 RAM while the current Intel Atom N450 and N470 chips can only support DDR2 RAM.

According to Fudzilla : The new processors will be named the N455 and N475 to indicate the support for the new RAM options. Due to this update we can expect to see some new Netbooks in the market.

Well this is not the first time we have heard about this upgrade but we have a fixed time now on when we can expect these new chip designs to be available.
